The story

How we got Tampa Bay Septic results

Six problems holding back local visibility

Tampa Bay Septic faced several critical challenges:
  1. Over a decade of near-zero organic visibility. From 2012 through 2024, the site earned almost no organic traffic. Moreover, it ranked for very few of the high-intent local keywords that drive septic leads.
  2. Established competitors owning the local results. Ace Septic, Quality Septic, and several regional operators dominated the Tampa SERPs. Consequently, Tampa Bay Septic lost demand in its own backyard.
  3. No content or keyword strategy. The site had no publishing cadence and no location-targeted pages. Therefore, it built no topical authority and could not rank for service-plus-city searches.
  4. A weak Google Business Profile with duplicate listings. Duplicate profiles and inconsistent NAP data split the local signals. As a result, Maps visibility stayed suppressed across the service area.
  5. A review profile working against them. The average rating sat below 4.5. In turn, both click-through rate and local pack placement suffered at the moment of decision.
  6. Leads lost across the entire service area. Searches in Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, and St. Petersburg went to competitors. In other words, revenue was left on the table in four major markets.
Tampa Bay Septic – The Challenge

An integrated program, not a checklist

WolfPack built an integrated SEO program around one objective. The goal was to make Tampa Bay Septic the most findable septic company in every city it serves. To do that, we paired a geo-targeted content cadence with clean local signals, technical on-page work, and a review engine. Each piece compounds the others. In short, content earns the rankings, while local SEO and reviews turn visibility into calls.

Geo-Targeted Content Strategy

We committed to two blog posts and two geo-targeted landing pages every month. Each piece maps to local search intent across Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, and St. Petersburg. Blogs build topical authority around maintenance, inspections, and drain field issues. Meanwhile, the landing pages capture city-plus-service queries directly. Above all, consistency was the strategy. Sustained publishing turned a decade of invisibility into 1,900+ ranking keywords.

Local SEO & Business Listing Management

First, we applied our local SEO process to every major directory listing. Next, we resolved duplicate profiles and enforced NAP consistency everywhere the name appeared. The Google Business Profile was rebuilt with complete categories, service areas, and ongoing posts. As a result, clean local signals unlocked the Maps growth that followed.

On-Page SEO Optimization

Every page was optimized for the keyword it was built to win. That work covered title tags, meta descriptions, header hierarchy, and internal linking. In addition, we implemented structured data so search engines could read the services and service areas clearly. Consequently, each new page strengthens the ones already ranking.

Review & Reputation Strategy

We connected Tampa Bay Septic to WolfPack’s CRM and Review Request service. Completed jobs now trigger a steady, automated stream of review requests, backed by ongoing review management. As a result, the average rating rose to 4.6. In turn, that lifts local pack placement and click-through rate. In short, reputation became a ranking asset. The full build is documented in our Tampa Bay Septic review request case study.

Ongoing Monitoring & Core Update Recovery

We track rankings, traffic, and local performance every month. When Google’s May 2026 core update hit, we diagnosed the affected pages first. Then we refined content depth and internal linking. Since then, tracked keyword positions have climbed from roughly 1.4K in May toward 1.8K. Above all, that responsiveness protects the gains between reporting cycles.

  • 12 keywords in Google’s top 3 and 13 in the top 10, across 43 tracked local terms
  • For example, the head term tampa bay septic ranks first
