The story

How we rebuilt Bigfoot Pest Management's website

Bigfoot Pest Management’s old website was slowing the business down, so WolfPack Advising rebuilt it from the ground up with pest control web design made for speed and local search. The new bigfootpest.com scores 92 for desktop performance on Google PageSpeed Insights, up from 76 before the rebuild, and its structured data validates with zero errors. After about three months of work, the rebuild went live on August 14, 2026, with every old URL mapped to its new page.

About Bigfoot Pest Management

Bigfoot Pest Management is a family-owned pest control company based in Olympia, Washington, led by owner Elliott Hahn. For more than five years, the Bigfoot team has protected homes and businesses across Thurston County and the South Sound from ants, rodents, spiders, stinging insects, and more. In addition, they have served over 1,000 clients and hold a 5.0-star rating across nearly 500 Google reviews. See their work at bigfootpest.com.

Old Bigfoot Pest Management site desktop PageSpeed report with a performance score of 76

Bigfoot’s old site was built on Beaver Builder, and by spring 2026 it was working against the business. In Elliott’s words, it was “clunky, has caching problems, and is reallllllly slow for users..especially the ones on mobile.”

What Was Holding the Old Site Back

  1. Pages were slow to load, especially on phones. For example, on desktop, Google PageSpeed Insights gave the old site a score of 76 out of 100, and each page froze for about half a second while its scripts loaded.
  2. The page builder blocked the custom schema Elliott wanted Google to read, so key business details were not reaching search engines.
  3. Contact form messages from different customers landed in one email thread. “It is getting confusing and I am missing people,” Elliott said.
  4. Starting over was a risk. The site’s content and links were working, and Bigfoot could not afford to lose the rankings they had earned.

Elliott wanted speed without losing what already worked: “I don’t really want a whole new website as the links and content we have is great. I just want a different layout that performs better.”

WolfPack rebuilt bigfootpest.com from scratch through our WordPress Web Design service, built for a pest control company, and hosted it on Kinsta through our Website Hosting service.

A Lighter Build, the Same Look

We moved the site off Beaver Builder to a lighter block editor setup with Rank Math for SEO and schema, and kept the greens and Pacific Northwest feel Elliott’s customers know.

Pest Control Web Design, Page by Page

Nine service pages, nine South Sound service-area pages and a new Contact page quote form that sends each request as its own email.

Rankings Protected Through Launch

We redirected every old URL, and our SEO team reviewed staging before the August 14, 2026 launch.

The rebuilt site scores 92 for desktop performance on Google PageSpeed Insights, up from 76 on the old site, with 93 for accessibility and a perfect 100 for both best practices and SEO. Also, the half-second freeze while pages loaded is down to 50 milliseconds. Bigfoot’s schema, the markup the old builder blocked, now validates with zero errors across three structured data types. Every contact form inquiry now arrives as its own email, so each customer is easy to find and answer.

After launch, we kept tuning the site. We turned on zoom so visitors can enlarge the page on their phones, set the homepage hero to load right away instead of waiting its turn, and updated the quote form so customers can paste in their phone number.

The migration also protected what was already working. Bigfoot ranks in the top 3 for “pest control Olympia,” and in the 90 days around launch the site earned about 823,000 Google impressions and 2,800 clicks. Much of that national reach comes from Bigfoot’s blog, which ranks on page 1 for questions like “can opossums get rabies” (14,800 searches a month). Local leads still come mainly from Google Business Profile: 193 of 246 in the same period.
